Setting the IP Address of the Processing Unit In the App

With the new update, you can now connect your Processing Unit to your home or other networks without needing to join its WiFi directly. This allows you to use the IP address assigned by your home router instead of switching networks.

Follow the steps below to set up and manage the IP address:

1. Accessing the IP Settings

  • On the Login page, look at the top right corner for the settings cog icon.

  • Click on the settings cog to open the IP configuration menu.

2. Entering the IP Address

  • In the menu, you’ll see a text box where you can type in the IP address of your Processing Unit.

  • Enter the IP address assigned by your home router. (You’ll need to find this on your router or network device list.)

  • Click Save to store the IP.

3. Logging In

  • Once saved, when you log in, the app will use this IP address to connect to your Processing Unit.

  • You can now access your device while connected to your regular home WiFi or any other network it’s connected to.

4. Resetting When Returning to WiFi Mode

  • If you want to connect directly via the Processing Unit’s WiFi again (instead of using the custom IP):

    1. Log out of the app.

    2. Open the same settings menu (top-right cog on the login page).

    3. Click the Reset button.

    4. Log back in — the app will now connect via the Processing Unit’s WiFi.

Tips

  • Make sure the IP address you enter is correct, or the app won’t be able to find the Processing Unit.

  • If you change networks (e.g., moving from home to a match), you may need to reset and reconfigure the IP.

  • Always log out before resetting the IP address settings to avoid connection errors.

Conclusion:You’ve now learned how to set and manage the IP address of your Processing Unit in the Camera-Pan app. This gives you the flexibility to connect through your home or local network without switching WiFi. If you encounter issues, double-check the IP address you’ve entered or reset back to WiFi mode.
